[For English, see below] Het College van Bestuur van Hogeschool Utrecht heeft Martine Overdijk met ingang van 1 juli 2024 benoemd tot directeur van het Institute for International Business Studies (IIBS). “Wij zijn blij met deze benoeming. Martine is een gedreven onderwijsprofessional met een open en positieve houding”, zegt Eva Reuling namens het College van Bestuur. “Via haar buitenlandse werkervaring en haar ervaring als opleidingshoofd International Business Studies bij de HAN heeft ze een scherp oog voor culturele diversiteit. Dit komt bij IIBS goed van pas.”
Martine heeft bedrijfskunde gestudeerd aan Universiteit Nijenrode, een MBA behaald aan de University of Texas en recent het TIAS-programma voor bestuurders in de publieke en non-profit sector gevolgd, met onder meer het Harvard Programma Innovations in Governance. Ze is nu bovenschools rector IVO Deurne, en was daarvoor onder meer werkzaam bij HAS Hogeschool als clusterdirecteur en als opleidingshoofd bij de HAN. Ook is Martine als hogeschooldocent verbonden geweest aan Fontys Hogescholen.
Martine Overdijk: “Ik verheug me erop bij de HU en IIBS te gaan beginnen en kijk er naar uit om samen met het team het instituut verder vorm te mogen geven. Hoe mooi om in een rijke internationale en interculturele leeromgeving te mogen werken aan de driehoek onderwijs, onderzoek en werkveld en aan het thema internationalisering. Ik kijk er naar uit om collega’s en studenten binnenkort te gaan ontmoeten.”

Martine Overdijk appointed director of the Institute For International Business Studies
The Executive Board of HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht has appointed Martine Overdijk as director of the Institute for International Business Studies (IIBS), effective from July 1, 2024. “We are pleased with this appointment. Martine is a passionate education professional with an open and positive attitude”, says Eva Reuling on behalf of the Executive Board. “Through her international work experience and her role as head of the International Business Studies program at HAN University of Applied Sciences, she has a keen eye for cultural diversity. This will be invaluable at IIBS.”
Martine studied business administration at Nyenrode Business University, earned an MBA from the University of Texas, and recently completed the TIAS program for executives in the public and non-profit sector, including the Harvard Program on Innovations in Governance. She is currently the executive head of IVO Deurne, having previously served as cluster director at HAS University of Applied Sciences and head of the International Business Studies program at HAN University of Applied Sciences.
